Our Team and our STORY:

In 2008 Abe & Shirley Banman first met Pastor Thomson Ondimu in Tamil Nadu, India under Children’s Camps International. The following year Ray Wieler, Abe & Shirley traveled to Maua, Kenya to start the first CCI/Africa Camps. Twenty seven pastors participated and that was the beginning of a great ministry!  2008 was also the year that Pastor Thomson met a business man from Winkler who was very moved by the poverty he saw Thomson and his family living in. The school he was running was in great need of help and so a committee was formed with like minded individuals from southern MB  to help them. A property was purchased and in 2015 Victorian Christian Academy was built, a large Christian school that can hold 250 students. That school is now completed and will soon be fully furnished. As of Nov 2017 all the students have desks but  most of the 20 teachers are still without a desk.

Our next capital project is to build a kitchen/dining hall/sanctuary. We hope to raise $75,000 to get that started in 2018.

Pastor Thomson and his wife Phyllis have 4 biological sons, Stephen, Isaac, Emmanuel and Abram. Phyllis’ three sisters Anne, Lucy and Mercy are all teachers who also live in their home and help with the many children!  How many children you may ask? Over 40 orphans now call Thomson and Phyllis Mommy & Daddy!  In this home/orphange there are no babies, the youngest child is 6 years old; all the children are in school. The tuition fees for half of these children to go to high school is huge and this is where we are asking you for help. Keeping food on the table, a roof over their heads and providing an education for these kids is huge!

Pastor Thomson

Hi , I am Pastor Thomson Ondimu, together with my wife Phyllis we have 4 sons and 1 daughter. Having grown up as a child without a father or mother present I have much empathy for orphans and less privileged in the society. Over the years we have provided a home and education for over 55 children. To date 13 children have graduated from high school. I thank God for providing for our family and school through the generous gift from Hope Without Limit.God bless HWLF.
